The Founder

Raymond M. Melkomian Raymond M. Melkomian is a veteran economist and technologist with three decades of experience at the epicenter of global financial markets. An alumnus of NYU’s Courant Institute, his career is defined by the intersection of rigorous mathematical logic and complex engineering.

His professional journey includes leadership roles at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) and Paris Securities. A pioneer in market architecture, he developed a proprietary exchange for Water Futures and holds the patent on the industry's Open Outcry trading platform (U.S. Patent No. 5,950,176). This capability to build the very infrastructure of global commerce—coupled with a documented 937% portfolio return—has established him as a leading voice in quantitative market analysis.

During his tenure at the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC), Raymond was instrumental in modernizing the securities industry. Having seen the efficiency of the futures markets, he advocated for a radical reduction in settlement cycles. While he successfully led the transition from T+5 to T+3, he went further by proposing a move to T+1 settlement as early as 1994. Although it took the industry until 2024 to finally implement T+1, his vision established a blueprint for reducing systemic risk decades before it became the global standard.

As the Managing Director of Paris Securities, he maintained a rigorous suite of professional credentials, including the Series 3, 4, 7, 8, 23, 24, 27, 55, 63, and 65 licenses. This principal-level oversight allowed him to direct complex operations ranging from commodities trading and branch office management to fiduciary investment advisory services and financial compliance.

As the inventor of PAWNCHO™ and the primary architect of Happy Happy Joy Joy Pet Corporation, Raymond applies industrial-grade engineering to solve the daily challenges of pet ownership. Holding U.S. Patent No. 12,453,334 B1, he continues to innovate at the crossroads of protective materials and animal welfare.

Beyond his commercial ventures, Raymond is the author of The Trial of God at The Hague. In addition, he is working on a series of eleven novels, reflecting a multi-disciplinary approach to innovation, ethics, philosophy, and narrative.
